What to expect

We will develop the work together following these four steps. At every step, you will be able to guide it's creation.

Sketch

After i receive an upfront payment, i’ll start on sketching your character. After the pose is aproved, i will work on the details.

Lineart

In the lineart stage please pay attention to the details so i can do all the changes in this stage. Send me as many references as possible!

Flat colors with adjustments

I’ll send you the flat color version with all the adjustments for the final approval. After that no major changes are possible!

Fully rendered

After i receive the full payment, i’ll be fully rendering approved version. This is the end result and i won’t be doing any major changes at this stage.

Terms And Conditions

1. General Terms

Prices are subject to change based on requirements.

Not for Commercial Use unless a license is purchased (See Section 6).

I reserve the right to reject any commission request that I am not comfortable with for any reason.

  • Digital Canvas Size: A4 (can be discussed)

  • The base price applies per character

  • Additional Character: +50% to the base price

  • Landscape-centric composition: +25% in addition to the complex background fee

Simple Background

Flat Color or Gradient – A solid color or a soft transition between shades

Minimal Details – Simplified elements like a vague horizon line, abstract patterns, simple shapes and objects, as well as blurred or blended brushstrokes, avoiding sharp details.

Complex Background

Multiple Layers & Depth – Background elements are painted in different planes, creating a sense of distance and space.

Detailed Textures – surfaces like foliage, flowers, vines, fabrics, complex frames

Objects & Secondary Subjects – Including elements like figures, animals, birds, butterflies, or interior settings.

2. Process & Delivery

References are essential for me to create your vision accurately. Please provide as many references as possible. If you have a specific idea, describe it in detail, including poses, color palettes, and any other preferences.

Turnaround Time

Commissions typically take 4 weeks but delivery time may be extended depending on complexity. Updates will be provided throughout the process.

Commission Process

  1. Initial Discussion & Quotation – We discuss your request, and I provide a price estimate.

  2. Approval & Invoicing – Once you approve the quote, an invoice will be sent (see Section 3).

  3. Sketching Phase – Begins after upfront payment. You will approve the pose and general composition before I proceed with details.

  4. Lineart – This is the last stage where major changes can be made, so please review carefully.

  5. Flat Colors – Sent for final approval. No major changes allowed afterward.

  6. Final Rendering – Begins after full payment is received. Only minor changes are permitted after the piece is fully rendered.

File Delivery:
Digital file will be sent via email. No physical product is provided.

3. Payment

Do not send payment before I accept your commission request.

Payment Terms:

  • 100% upfront payment, or

  • 50% upfront, with the remaining 50% due after flat color approval

  • Full payment is required before the final rendering begins.

Accepted payment methods:

  • PayPal Invoice

  • SumUp Invoice

Additional fees:

  • Additional Character: +50% of the base price

  • Landscape-centric composition: +25% in addition to the complex background fee

  • If applicable: + 5% PayPal fee; may be waived if sent via 'Friends and Family'

4. Revisions

Up to three revisions allowed during sketching, lineart and flat colors. Final rendering - only minor changes are allowed at this stage.

During the sketching phase, you may request both major and minor changes at no extra charge. However, once the lineart is approved and the final rendering has begun, any major changes—such as alterations to the pose, facial expression, or hairstyle—will incur an additional fee. Minor adjustments, like small color changes, are allowed at no extra cost. The final fee for major revisions will depend on the complexity of the request.

My goal is to create something you love! Please communicate any concerns as soon as possible so we can resolve them together.

5. Copyright & Usage

  • I (Rhienon) retain full rights to the artwork, including its use for promotion, display, and posting on social media/websites.

  • If you prefer the artwork not to be displayed publicly, this can be discussed before payment.

  • I do not accept NFT-related requests. My artwork may not be used in any NFT or blockchain-related process, now or in the future, by any party.

Permitted Uses for Buyers:

✅ Personal use, including posting on social media.
✅ Printing for personal use.
✅ Claiming ownership of the character(s), but not the artwork itself.

Strictly Prohibited (Copyright Infringement):

❌ Commercial use without proper licensing.
❌ Claiming the artwork as your own.
❌ Removing my signature.
❌ Altering the artwork without my consent.

6. Commercial Fees

To purchase commercial rights, an additional fee applies:

  • Limited Non-Commercial License +50% of commission price

    • artwork is used commercially but not as a primary selling point, e.g., freebie prints for book preorders, monetized streaming overlays

  • Limited Commercial License +300% of commission price

    • artwork can be used for resale such as stickers, prints, book covers, merchandising, promotional materials, streams, etc.

  • Unlimited Commercial License/IP Transfer:

    • Price to be negotiated.

⚠ Violation of these terms will result in loss of all rights to the commissioned piece, and I will retain full control over the artwork.

7. Refunds & Cancellations

  • You have the right to cancel a commission before payment is received.

  • No refunds will be issued once work has begun, but partial refunds may be considered depending on the progress of the artwork.

  • Unauthorized PayPal chargebacks will result in the immediate loss of rights to the commissioned artwork. Clients who initiate chargebacks will be blacklisted from future commissions.
